You will change society, the World and keep your Spiritual Life healthy
From the quotes of our Popes and Saints, as seen
on other pages of this website, we can see that Eucharistic Adoration is a
legitimate theological development, which began at the beginning of Church
history, and which picked up pace around the 12th century. We can see that
Eucharistic Adoration is a very important part of the Church’s life as a
whole and also of one’s own spiritual life. We can see that Perpetual
Eucharistic Adoration is a logical and extremely important development in
the Church’s growth. And lastly we can see that the constant sacrifice of
time to come before our Lord results in great holiness.
If our Popes
and Saints have taught us anything it is their core belief in, and total
dedication to, Jesus Christ our Eucharistic Lord thru their tireless hours
in adoration, no matter how much it cost them. To be clear, it is not
because they were saints that they adored the Eucharist, rather it was
because they adored the Eucharist that they became Saints. Most of them were
just like all of us with the same problems, little time on our hands, and,
at first, not a real firm belief in the Real Presence. But in the end they
helped transform the world of their times. How did they do this? They made a
firm determined effort to take time out of there busy schedules and planned
at least one specific hour each week to come before our beloved Lord in
adoration (many of them on a daily basis). Through this hour of grace they
became more firmly convinced of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament and went
forth to spread His Love in their various apostolates.
St. Peter
Julian Eymard, who founded an order dedicated to Eucharistic Adoration, said
that one day society will someday again become Christian won to Jesus by an
army of Eucharistic Adorers. It is up to us to transform our society of
today by joining this army of Eucharistic Adorers that our beloved Lord has
been gathering throughout these past 2000 years, and sign up for a specific
special hour each week before Jesus. Our society of today is depending on us
and the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration program at St. Francis is depending
on us to do this.
